Web shell scales wrong

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. access web shell from iphone
2. login

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The login in on ubuntu displays a time stamp of the login, this causes webshell 
to expand and 
tile the background while keeping the in shell keyboard within the first tile 
of the background 
making it impossible to type on.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
version 0.9.6 on ubuntu 9.10

Also, is there any way to disable that time stamp or get the text to wrap?
