This weekend I started pulling apart the Carter YF (not sure what model) that came with the CJ. It may be worth it to restore it and use it instead of the Solex.

Parts needed

Todo

  • Find a rebuild kit
  • Take apart the carb and clean it
  • Rebuild it

It's taken apart and most of it is in carb cleaner. It seems like it has a newish set of gaskets and clean jets. Going to put it back together tomorrow and install it on the CJ next week.

Finished rebuilding it. It may work.
