If we would have all the coinjoins and all the post-transactions, we could monitor how other people use the wallet and calculate anonymity sets based on the data.

To sum up this issue: is it more probable that red comes from green than blue? Basically that's the big question has to be answered, before thinking of new mental models.

Ideally the anonymity set would be calculated from the blockchain in a way that if the coins left the Wasabi wallet, for instance to a hardware wallet, and then came back to Wasabi the anonymity state would be preserved. Perhaps there would be an option to manually enter how far to search back given the person who owns the coins would know when they were first conjoined.

This is really cool work nopara73!
