Reordering apps in categories #109
Comments
If you want to move apps, switch the widget to display folders instead of categories. |
Changing it to display folders doesn't help at all. It's completely blank I would have to create folders from scratch. I've spent ages categorising all my apps and now I can't do the most basic of things which is to move the order of the apps. The whole reason i used categories was to have an easier way to categorise apps I imagine the whole point of the feature. Please tell me this isn't seriously your response |
In AIO Launcher, there's a clear distinction between the concepts of Folder and Category. A Category is a kind of label you attach to an application. It contains no information other than belonging to a certain group. A Folder is just like the folders found on desktops. A folder not only has a name but also an internal order. Documents (applications) in a folder can be arranged in a certain sequence. Moreover, folders can contain applications from different categories. For example, you can have folders like Work and Home, and each of them can contain applications from various categories. My mistake was simply in adding the ability to display categories in the folder widget (I thought it might be convenient). As a result, the concepts of Folder and Category just got mixed up in the minds of the users. |
Okay i see what you meant. Any chance of adding the ability to reorder apps in categories? At the moment there is no obvious order A side point on folders can you add a whole category in one go? I.e. all the apps in one category |
Apps in the categories are sorted by usage |
Okay would be good to be able to manually move apps Also anyway to move categories of apps to app folder. I could use that if moving apps in categories isn't going to be implemented |
