What steps will reproduce the problem?
Play a (16-bit) FLAC file

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect clear audio, get very noisy right channel

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
andless 1.3.5 on Gingerbread (2.3.3), Device: Motorola DroidX

Please provide any additional information below.
This problem began after upgrading from 1.3.0 -> 1.3.5, so I assume it is
related to the changes made in r96

I can report the exact same issue. Playing 16-bit FLAC files converted from
audio CDs I get a very noisy right-channel. Essentially it's impossible to
listen to these music files.

I'm using andLess 1.3.5 as built on F-Droid (
https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdfilter=andless&fdid=net.avs234 ) on
Android 2.3.4 using a SE Xperia Arc S.

Tried the version, previous to the latest. The sound is okay in both channels.

Indeed. If I use the 1.3.0 version, then there are no issues with playing FLAC
files.

Well, that's good since there's no much difference between the two latest
versions.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure, that it has something to do with
'/data/data/path_to_andless_dir/liblossless.so', so the one from the previous
version might just be used with the latest (if there's root).
