the imp map by default loads providence, i wanted the delve map, upon changing the map the application crash's , ive tried changing the map to several different locations and always crash's , i downloaded an older version which also crashed, there is no error code because its windows...
"a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"
i debugged using visual studio to find the following error
"Unhandled exception at 0x68C82913 (Qt5Core.dll) in imp.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000002D."

im not sure if this is on my end or not, i have imp compiled on a linux (mint 18.3) machine which works flawlessly as long as i dont want to change the theme because it does not save the changes made to the themes (this i beleive IS my end as it had problems compiling and i did the manly thing, i ignored them and it works)

EDIT: http://evemaps.dotlan.net/svg <this website says "An error is occured: HTTP 404: Notfound" and "The requested URL /svg was not found on this server."

THIS IS WAY OVER MY HEAD, im not a dev or "smart" by any means i have simply done some research to find this info. please do not behead me if this is a simple issue to fix....... 💃

You aren't the only one, I too can't change the map away from the default Providence. I tried multiple maps and they all crash... except for Provi.

I decided to try out Vintel to see if it worked and yes, I can change the map to another region without issue.

I would TOTALLY PREFER to use IMP as it has many better features and is customizable, but if I can 't use a region outside of Providence, it doesn't do me a whole lot of good.

Hopefully this is a minor issue and can be fixed easily.

I saw this myself, for the first time a couple of night ago. I switched maps a dozen times, then on the next it crashed. I'll investigate.

@3vi1 crashes for me at every attempt. Additional info: I get the same exception when trying to change the theme.
I deleted my install and tried with a fresh download - same behaviour: crash.

Let me know, if you need dumps or diagnostic data. edit: I'm on windows 10 latest patchlevel.

I had this exact issue and fixed it by deleting the C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\ElevatedDiagnostics folder.

@Draytek5 Thanks, but unfortunateyl there is no such folder on my machine.

@thegilm You might need to change your file options to show the appdata folder as this is hidden by default.

@Draytek5 Thanks buddy. We can safely assume I know how to move in my file systems :) folder is non-existent on my machine (actually on any of my windows boxes...).

Alright, I solved my problem by deleting the IMP directory under %LOCALAPPDATA%\EternalDusk.
Thanks to @Draytek5 who brought me to the idea to clear all settings.

I got it to work via combo of the two:
Go into C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\EternalDusk and delete/remove the IMP folder.
AppData is normally a hidden directory so you may have to turn those visible in folder settings.

If I start up with the -Default- Theme all is fine and I can change the map without chash
If I change the -Default- Theme e.g. a different background color and
then change map IMP chrashes all the time.
If I change the Dark Theme to a different background color all is fine and I can change the map without chash.

So the fix whould be either leave Themes alone or change any of the other themes.
Don't change the -Default- theme.

I did not delete any forlders/files to do this.
