No longer finding my character or position.

I applied the latest EVE patch this morning and now when using IMP it no longer follows me or shows my location. Also, my character name is no longer listed under Pilots. I've restarted EVE and IMP several times. Using US/English EVE client.

i have the same problem worked fine just after update but now it dosnt work intel works fine tho

Yeah, same here. Intel still works, just not the notifications when someone is reported close by.

CCP.... Frickin' CCP....

It looks like their last patch TOOK ALL THE EVE SYSTEM MESSAGES out of the Local logs - so now IMP can't see when you change systems.

I'm not sure if they did that on purpose, or if this is just another SNAFU like their log-naming mix-up. If they don't fix it in a couple of days I'll look at letting you manually set your position.... but that's not near as nice.

So the red system message that appears (still does) on the Local chat about changing the system is omitted from logs?

Worst case scenario you could parse the gamelog for the jump statements for following: [ 2018.04.06 12:13:40 ] (None) Jumping from XF-TQL to YZS5-4

how does that work?i can find that in game log but how do i set it in IMP?

You can't. It would be something that would need to be coded into IMP.

I had heard something about them changing to a different (https://ejabberd.im/ maybe?) backend for chat. The logging code appears to be closely integrated with their chat routines (hence the breakage with the log names a couple of weeks back). It's likely the system messages get written from a completely different part of the code that they discarded as unneeded.

I submitted a bug to them explaining the issue, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the fix.

Well, CCP responded to my bug report saying the change was intentional.

I'm going to think on this for a few days before I decide if I'm going to quit at the end of my current subscribed period, since every change CCP makes seems to be make the game worse.
