Tolerance Test

SCAD Tolerance Test Model

Tolerance Test

Pin diameter = 8 mm

Tolerance

 - 0.2
 - 0.3
 - 0.4
 - 0.5
 - 0.6

Printing Conditions

 - Nozzle Size : 0.4
 - Layer Height : 0.2
 - Initial Layer Height : 0.2
 - Line Width : 0.4
 - Wall Line Count : 3
 - Top/Bottom Thickness : 0.8 mm
 - Infill Density : 8%
 - Fill Gaps Between Walls (Only For Version of Cura previous to V5): Nowhere

Printing Time = 1h ~ 1h15mn

Instructions

Print the test part. After printing, test that the pins can be removed easily. Those that cannot be easily removed will show you how much tolerance to add to your assemblies. If you think these values are too large, you can use the Horizontal Expansion parameter to reduce the offset. In this case we recommend you use the Calibration Cube XYZ or MultiCube test piece to test this parameter.
