I could not find dance plugin in https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/

Why is it not there?

It's not quite complete yet, and has some unresolved issues. I code with it daily, but haven't been able to fix some bugs, so for now I'm keeping it out of the marketplace since it's not very usable.

I would really love to try this out and help to provide feedback. Unfortunately, I have not figured out yet how to install this extension manually. Maybe you could add a quick install section to README.md? Thank you so much!

For now I never actually installed the extension. Instead, I always load the project in VS Code, and then go to Debug > Run Extension to use it and debug it at the same time, in case I encounter bugs.

he, would still be really great if you could publish it to marketplace, maybe just tag it as "Alpha", maybe then more people who hesitate to try out Kakoune, but don't want to change to (another) editor would give it a spin. Asking for a friend... ;)

Got it. I'm very busy this week so I probably won't do it that early, but I'll try to publish it next week.

Dance is now available in the marketplace.

I'm not putting this information in the README yet, since I still consider that it's far from "release-ready." Users who want to experiment with the extension (and accept the risk to encounter crashes or incompatibility issues) will have to find this comment instead.
