I’m exploring the gut-liver axis, and I am passionate about biotech, innovation and translational research
I am currently exploring the gut-liver-microbiome axis in healthy ageing in the Powrie Mucosal Immunology Group at the University of Oxford and pRED at Roche. I am exploring the microbe controlled components of enterohepatic circuits, and eventually hope to understand how to change these. I'm using a multiomics approach through RNA and metagenomic sequencing, as well as metagenomic metabolic modelling and basic wet lab techniques.
I'm involved with Nucleate, a non-profit orgnaisation who's mission is to empower the next generation of biotech leaders through education and access to a global network of talent and capital. I've worked in VC and biotech & bioinformatics consultancy, and had a previous career as a scicomm influencer.
