On a windows machine (server 2012 R2) the plugin trigger an authentication pop-up when dragging issues around

Are you sure that this alert is related to Taskodrome itself?
When you drag'n'drop an issue, the plugin sends XMLHttpRequest to the host. Maybe such requests are forbidden without appropriate authentication?
