Azure Red Hat OpenShift version 4.11 is now Generally Available. Azure Red Hat OpenShift 4.9 will not be supported after April 15, 2023. Clusters running unsupported Red Hat OpenShift releases aren’t covered by the Azure Red Hat OpenShift SLA. Upgrade your clusters to continue to receive support for your clusters.

New Features

  • Multi-version support. This enables customers to select specific Y and Z version of the release. See Red Hat OpenShift versions for more information about versions.
    Customers can still deploy 4.10 clusters if that version is specified. See Selecting a different ARO version for more information.
  • Improved portal experience including:
    • Pre-populated domain prefix
    • Service Principal creation flow
    • Improved parameter validation
  • Public IP removal. See Create a private cluster without a public IP address for more information.
  • OVN as the CNI for clusters 4.11 and above
  • Accelerated networking VMs
  • UltraSSD support
  • Gen2 VM support
