Multiqueue collects a number of pieces of local session data in order to facilitate the app experience. These are critical for the app to function, and include such information as the data for your rooms and the queue songs you have received. This is done so that constant network requests are not required.
However, most of your session data is stored in your private database for Multiqueue, which is only accessible by you during a Multiqueue session by use of your device's Apple ID. This private database is operated via Apple's iCloud service. iCloud is a private service entirely operated by Apple, meaning that Multiqueue or its developer has no access whatsoever to any room information residing in iCloud.
Using this model, any and all data sent off your device to the Internet is stored in your personal private database, which is managed by Apple and locked behind your Apple ID. This means that only you and those you invite to your rooms, not even Apple or the developer of Metrics, can view your data.
When you add users to your created rooms, those you invite receive a “window” into your private database. In this way, specific individuals can access the room data without compromising it for the whole world to see.
Apple may also symbolicate crash logs and other diagnostic information and send it to the developer of One Step Ahead. Apple’s guidance on this data is as follows: "[This feature] [a]llows Apple to symbolicate crash logs and provide other diagnostic information. The symbol information is extracted from the debugging symbols (dSYM files) including in the archive, and is limited to function and methods (including inline functions), names and paths of source code files (for navigation), and line number information (for navigation)."
The collection of the diagnostic data mentioned above is handled by Apple. Conversely, the collection of room data is handled by Multiqueue, and stored in your iCloud private database.
If you choose to share your data by inviting other users to your rooms, no additional data collection actually occurs. Instead, users you select receive a "window" into your existing data, which already resides in your private iCloud database.
The data Multiqueue collects is used solely to operate the app. For example, in order to transmit queue songs between devices, the songs must be uploaded to a location accessible by all users you invite to your room, that is, your private database. Similarly, in order to customize rooms according to your settings, the app needs to upload and store the preference data.
However, anything you upload to iCloud is never accessible by anyone other than you and those you invite to your room.
Your information is never used for purposes pertaining to advertising, tracking, or analysis endeavors, nor would any such endeavors be technologically possible with the current data setup of Multiqueue.
The session data Multiqueue stores locally on your devices will exist on your device until the app is closed. The room data uploaded to your iCloud private database will remain there until the corresponding room is deleted. You can always delete a room by navigating to its details screen and selecting Delete Room.
