Yumi: Silk as Building Material by Clara La Manna, Fab Lab Lima (Presentation video)
This was a project from Bio Academy 2015 which a student proposed to make architecture on Mars using silk fibroin protein solution. It’s based on this protocol but it requires Lithium bromide which might be hard for individuals to get. Would be great it you could do this with simple DIY materials like potato starch.

Georg: Great to see a range of ideas, also very great to see some initial experiments - the basic plastics, the directional plant-growing - already happening. At BHA we are on a tight schedule, but I do suggest to try to advance all 3 projects.

Kosuke: Moving plant reminded me of self-driving potato. A few years ago, my friends and I were working on a project called "Genetically-modified-cyborg cauliflower" which we tried to make cauliflower produce green pigment in its buds, and put wheels and some sensors on it which allow them to disguise as broccoli and slip into broccoli section at the market like 007; though we haven't made it happen... Please make our dream come true, if interested, haha.
