Wikicode:

{{siècle|lang=fr|{{2e}} moitié du X{{e}} siècle}}

Output:

<i>(2e moitié du Xe sièclee siècle)</i>

Expected:

<i>(2e moitié du Xe siècle)</i>

I don't have time to code in the next hours, but my understanding is that it has nothing to do with "siècle" being in the argument but it's because of "X{{e}}" not being detected and handled by the wiktionary software. See https://fr.wiktionary.org/wiki/Module:date_et_heure#L-64
