Can you try this:
addclouds 0 4 1500 3000 1
?

Thanks for trajcenikolovnick's reply! |
hi,
I don't know your setup. The latest OpenIG from github should work with the
latest SilverLining. Try copying and using the default SilverLining
user-vert/frag.glsl (in Resources) in in plugins/SilverLining.dll.xml
set SilverLining-ForwardPlusEnabled to "no". Can you send screenshot of
what you are seeing?

But it doesn't work.
Do I miss something in the code when use the plugin?

Hi,
Ok. What OS, OpenIG version, SilverLining version? If you set env var
OSG_NOTIFY_LEVEL=NOTICE you should see which plugins are in use and which
failed. Can you send the log with this setting?
With OpenIG distro there is an example coming, A320 example. Can you run
it?
Let start from there

OpenIG Version: 2.07 |
That's all good. You didn't sent the log from the run to see if the SL
plugin was loaded.
The SL plugin by default uses the Forward+ engine to lit clouds. And this
is done by changes in the SL user-frag/vert.glsl shaders - these are parts
of the SL distribution, but modified by OpenIG. And these are not updated
for long. So I suspect this is the part that is broken and to resolve this
you have to manually copy the original UserFunctions.glsl and
UserFunctions-frag.glsl from the original SL installation back to the where
SL is installed and use the original unmodified shaders. Or simply
re-install SL again. Keep in mind the INSTALL target of OpenIG will
override these again, so you can modify the CMakeLists.txt in the
SilverLining to not do so. SImply comment the following lines there:
#Shaders for F+ and LogZ on Windows and Linux, currently we do not support
F+ on the APPLE
#IF(NOT APPLE)
# INSTALL(FILES
${CMAKE_CURRENT_LIST_DIR}/../Resources/shaders/SilverLining/WithForwardPlusAndLogZ/UserFunctions-frag.glsl
DESTINATION $ENV{SILVERLINING_PATH}/Resources/Shaders)
# INSTALL(FILES
${CMAKE_CURRENT_LIST_DIR}/../Resources/shaders/SilverLining/WithForwardPlusAndLogZ/UserFunctions.glsl
DESTINATION $ENV{SILVERLINING_PATH}/Resources/Shaders)
#ENDIF()
#Original SL shaders are supported on APPLE, WIN32 and Linux
#for now we will install these on the APPLE by default until F+ is
supported there
#IF(APPLE)
# INSTALL(FILES
${CMAKE_CURRENT_LIST_DIR}/../Resources/shaders/SilverLining/Original/UserFunctions-frag.glsl
DESTINATION $ENV{SILVERLINING_PATH}/Resources/Shaders)
# INSTALL(FILES
${CMAKE_CURRENT_LIST_DIR}/../Resources/shaders/SilverLining/Original/UserFunctions.glsl
DESTINATION $ENV{SILVERLINING_PATH}/Resources/Shaders)
#ENDIF()
#IF(WIN32)
# SET(INSTALL_BINDIR bin)
# INSTALL(FILES
${CMAKE_CURRENT_LIST_DIR}/../Resources/shaders/SilverLining/WithForwardPlusAndLogZ/forward_plus_sl_ps.glsl
DESTINATION ${INSTALL_BINDIR}/resources/shaders)
#ELSE()
# INSTALL(FILES
${CMAKE_CURRENT_LIST_DIR}/../Resources/shaders/SilverLining/WithForwardPlusAndLogZ/forward_plus_sl_ps.glsl
DESTINATION /usr/local/openig/resources/shaders)
#ENDIF()
Also, each OpenIG plugin can be configured by plugin.xml. So for example,
if you are on Windows in the plugins folder you will see something like
OpenIG-Plugin-SilverLining.dll.xml. This is the config file for the SL
plugin. In there you should disable the use of Forward+ too
Hope this helps. Let me know

Hi again,
one more thing: You mentioned you are using default.txt (If I
understand correctly). There is already a cloud layer with id 0 loaded from
there. You can try some other ID and make sure the altitude of the layer is
high enough above the terrain. Can you try something like:
addclouds 1000 4 1500 3000 1

Thank you, I know the ID |
I use "f+" for silverlining, but I can't see any effect result.
Who can tell me the effect change whether or not use "f+".
Thanks.

F+ is for lighting effects. It allows for more light to actually emit light effects. So all the runway light for instance are real light emitting lights not just the 8 that GL allows you to have.
It has nothing to do with SL.

SilverLining can work with F+ like in this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTLBzYjS7Qo
It uses the user shaders of SilverLining and you have to check the latest
version of SL that is supported by OpenIG for this. Sundog was keeping
changing the syntax of the functions in their user shaders so I guess it is
out of sync with the version of OpenIG in github

Hi Nick,
We are all really busy right now here on a short deadline contract. If you have any spare time, perhaps you could update the OIG package to support the latest SL and Triton Sundog stuff.
No one here will be free until the middle of the year at the earliest.
I hope this finds you and the family doing well.
I had to have back surgery and I’m still feeling really bad and in a lot of pain from it along with not being able to walk very well, pretty much stuck having to use one of those walking helpers to get around when the pain is low.
Talk to you again soon I hope.
