v1.1.0
Wii Motion Synth v1.1.0
New Features
- Expanded Waveform Engine: Added 8-bit era waveforms mapped to the D-Pad, including Triangle (Up), White Noise (Down), Pulse (Left), and Narrow Pulse (Right).
- Octave Shift: Hold Button 2 to instantly jump the current frequency up by one full octave.
- Mute Gate: Hold the PLUS button to instantly override the amplitude to zero, allowing for manual rhythmic stutter/gate effects.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
- Nunchuk LFO Fix: Recalculated the LFO phase accumulator step for 60 FPS, correcting the vibrato and tremolo effect to a standard musical 5 Hz rate.
- White Noise Randomization: Added random seed initialization on application boot to ensure unique noise generation.
- UI Synchronization: Overhauled the welcome splash screen and CPU telemetry overlay to accurately reflect all new waveform and modifier controls.
- Codebase Cleanup: Removed non-functional Wiimote speaker code to ensure Bluetooth stability and standardized all inline code comments to English per repository guidelines.
- Documentation: Synchronized
meta.xmlandREADME.mdwith the new v1.1.0 control scheme.
v1.0.1
Wii Motion Synth v1.0.1
Bug Fixes & Improvements
- Metadata Hotfix: Updated
meta.xmlto correct application metadata and ensure accurate display formatting within the Homebrew Channel.
v1.0.0
Wii Motion Synth v1.0.0 - Initial Release
Core Features
- Motion-to-Audio Engine: Maps real-time Wiimote accelerometer data directly to audio output. Tilt Pitch (Up/Down) controls frequency, and Twist Roll (Left/Right) controls volume.
- Real-time Synthesis: Implements double-buffered, integer-math audio processing using Direct Memory Access (DMA) for zero-latency, FPU-safe sound generation.
- Base Waveforms: Includes three standard waveforms: Sine (Default), Square (Hold A), and Sawtooth (Hold 1).
- Quantization: Hold the B button to snap raw motion frequencies to a C Major Pentatonic scale.
- Dual UI Modes: Press MINUS to switch between a hardware-accelerated (GX) visual oscilloscope and a CPU text overlay displaying raw sensor telemetry.
- Hardware Integrations:
- Nunchuk joystick support for LFO modulation (Vibrato and Tremolo).
- Wiimote speaker audio toggle (via PLUS button).
