Introduction

To begin using The International, please visit the bot's readme. Once these steps have been followed, we can begin spawning in.

Spawning in

To select your bot's first room, please find a 2 source, claim-able room with at least one 7x7 open area free of terrain walls. The bot will not work in a 1 source or cramped room.

If you're in a server with the auth-mod installed, you can simply name your spawn "auto" and place it anywhere in the room. The bot should replace it in a planned position.

If you aren't in a server with auth-mod, you'll want to manually place the spawn near your sources, not in a 7x7 area where the fastFiller might be planned. Once there is a second spawn in the room (post RCL 7) you can delete the misplaced spawn, and the bot should replace it in its planned position.

Settings

You'll find a list of settings in constants.ts, such as autoClaim, allyList, roomVisuals, etc. You can edit these to change the bot's behaviour.

If you're a contributor to the bot, please edit the variables' doppelgangers in Memory, as the constants are intended to be default values.

Manual intervention

Commands and Flags can be used to manually perform actions using the bot, such as claiming a room, destroying structures, or killing creeps.

Troubleshooting

If you run into errors, please first consider actions you could have taken to interfere with the bot's normal, intended behaviour. If the behaviour is intrinsic to the bot or should be avoided, please make an issue with a comprehensive outline (include media if helpful) of the issue. If you have a solution, please also include it in the issue, or make a pull request and fix it for us!

If you want more personal help with the issue, improvements to add, or whatever else, please also join our discord server
