Failed to Sync after wifi drop outs

Had been syncing fine until the wifi dropped out. Sometimes it would starts to sync intermittently while most of the time is would stay "Not Synced". Does the network has to be stable for the sync to work? Is it possible to make it such that when the wifi network resumes it would pick up from the previous place in a reliable manner? The network issue wiped out all connected peers!
