Travis CI has been updated for richer R support (see http://blog.rstudio.org/2016/03/09/r-on-travis-ci/). Going to update it with a couple of new options:

Turn off sudo requirements and use the faster container. This should speed-up the time to complete tests
Use a build matrix to test RSocrata against the current version and development version of R (to help future-proof upcoming problems).
