Supported Networks

This page outlines which TM:PE features can be applied to the various networks that are available in the game.

Although not caused by TM:PE, we recommend all users take care when unsubscribing mods or asset that contain networks (roads, paths, rails, etc), particularly those marked with ⚠️ icon. This is due to a game bug which can break save games that were using those networks. For more information, see: How to remove workshop networks.

Items marked with ❤️ are some of our favourite networks. Note, however, they are often large assets which might cause problems on older computers or weak graphics cards.

Pedestrian paths, Bicycle paths/lanes

• After Dark DLC is required if you want to use bicycle lanes.
• Park Life DLC is required for Walking Tours (TM:PE version 10.17 or later required)

Supported features:

Roads

Supported features:

• All features

• Road assets from the Steam Workshop
  • Except a small number of Broken Road Assets
• CSUR (and similar projects) ❤️
  • Some features might not be available, or act strangely, on nodeless roads
• Network Extensions 2 ⚠️

• ULTra Personal Rapid Transport (they're bus roads)
• Guided Bus Way (they're bus roads)
• Invisible roads (from various authors)
• Pedestrian roads (use vehicle restrictions to make them even better!)

Trams

Snowfall DLC is required for all tram networks.

Supported features:

• Speed restrictions
• Lane routing

Also works on:

• Tram network assets from the Steam Workshop
• Light Rail Network ❤️
• Reversible Tram Track
  • Note: This requires a custom AI to work properly; not yet available

Metro (Subway)

Supported features:

• Speed restrictions
• Lane routing

Also works on:

• Metro Overhaul Mod ⚠️ ❤️
  • TM:PE v10.17 or above is required for correct operation of 4 lane track assets.
• Bienvenüe assets - those are train track assets (see below)

Train

Supported features:

• Speed restrictions
• Lane routing
• Vehicle restrictions

Also works on:

• Rail track assets from the Steam Workshop, including:
  • Funicular Network ❤️
  • Railway collection ❤️
    • Some features may be unavailable or act weirdly on the nodeless assets
  • Bienvenüe collection ❤️
    • These are mostly visual extras for Railway collection above, and same note applies regarding nodeless tracks.

Monorail

Mass Transit DLC is required to use all Monorail networks

Aircraft, Blimps, Balloons, Helicopters

Mass Transit DLC is required to use Blimps
Park Life DLC is required to use Hot Air Balloons
Natural Disasters DLC is required to use Helicopters Industries DLC is required to use cargo aircraft

Cable Cars

Mass Transit DLC is required to use Cable Cars

Supported Features:

• None

Ships, Ferries

Mass Transit DLC is required to use Ferries.
