Following @hdrake's talk (and tips from @dpsanders) it seems like it should be soon possible to compile our Literate.jl examples to Pluto.jl notebooks and we might even be able to make them interactive with Observable (or maybe in the far future the reactive Pluto.jl notebook can just run in the user's browser).

Imagine just sending someone a link and they can play around with an ocean LES model right in their browser 🚀

This is probably a speculative issue. Just to discuss whether it's possible and any developments.

Just dropping a link here https://github.com/hdrake/simplearth for some of our (WIP) "intro to climate modelling" repository, featuring some interactive climate modelling Pluto.jl notebooks. These are just toy models but I imagine doing the same thing with low-resolution or 2-D research-grade models like Oceananigans.jl and ClimateMachine.jl.

I'm closing this issue because I'm judging that it's not of current, timely relevance to Oceananigans development. If you would like to make it a higher priority or if you think the issue was closed in error please feel free to re-open.
