Include pictures of core team members in the Who We Are page. #32

Hello, I've been thinking of taking this task on and turning this into a first dive project to introduce new developers to working on this project. I've been thinking of using the Facebook API for getting images but I'm also open to suggestions |
Hi Muata @21mooie, thanks for your interest in this. I agree this could be a good place to start. I had been thinking of just asking people for a picture or a link to a picture, and then updating the information in core_team.yml. This more manual approach has the advantage we talk to people. That interaction is useful to make sure we are including active members. But APIs are awesome. So if we don't use it here, I'd be curious to brainstorm ways that we could use them to connect various data sources to the site. I may be slow to reply over the next few weeks because my wife is expecting a baby any day now. You can ask @DesignsbyZay too if you don't here back from me. |
Sure no problem. That's very similar to what I had in mind infact. I think that is something we can point people to do during the hacknights so they are atleast introduced to the project. Congratulations as well @davidruffner |
Thanks!
