How to install or reinstall TWiLight Menu

WARNING
When using this with SD cards that are 64GB or above, make sure Save FAT table cache is disabled in the Games/Apps page of TWLMenu++ Settings. Your SD card may become corrupt, due to an issue with saved FAT tables by nds-bootstrap.
If it's already turned off when corruption happened, then it's due to an issue with either libnds or libfat, or your SD card may be dying.

NOTE for 3DS/2DS users:
If you are coming from TWLoader, uninstall all of the TWLoader applications using a CIA manager (for example, FBI)

NOTE for flashcard users:
If you want to use TWL clock speed and/or VRAM boost on your flashcard games, launch your flashcard using TWiLight Menu++ on the console's SD card, with the SCFG access in Slot-1 setting turned on.

Uninstalling or Re-installing

1. In sd:/_nds/ delete TWiLightMenu, nds-bootstrap, and nds-bootstrap.ini.
2. On a Nintendo 3DS Device, delete the TWiLight Menu++ titles using FBI.
3. To re-install, proceed with any of the installation steps below.

Installing (DSi users with Unlaunch and/or HiyaCFW)

1. In the 7z file, put the _nds folder from the 7z root, in the SD Card root.
2. Copy _nds in DSi&3DS - SD card users to the SD root.
3. Extract the boot.nds file from the DSi&3DS - SD card users folder, to the SD Card root.
4. Extract what's in DSi - CFW users/SDNAND root to the root of your SD card.
5. (Unlaunch users without HiyaCFW) In Unlaunch menu, go to options, and set the No button option to TWLMENUPP.

Installing (3DS, via Updater)

1. Install the updater here (or with QR code).
2. Launch the updater.
3. Touch Release next to TWL Menu++. Extraction may take a while.
4. Do Step 3 again, but for nds-bootstrap.

Installing (3DS, via Universal-Updater)

1. Setup Universal-Updater for your system (via either installing the 3dsx or cia).
2. Download the NTR/TWL Script. Do so via following the on screen prompts.
3. Go into the list of scripts, select the script you just downloaded and select what you'd like to download.

Installing (3DS, Manual method)

1. Delete the _nds folder from the root of your SD card, if it exists
2. Download the latest version of TWiLight Menu++ from the releases page.
3. Copy _nds folder to SD root.
4. Copy the contents of 3DS - CFW users to anywhere on the SD card.
5. Copy _nds in DSi&3DS - SD card users to the SD root.
6. Copy boot.nds in DSi&3DS - SD card users to the SD root.
7. On the 3DS/2DS console, install the two CIAs.

Flashcard instructions

1. Download the latest version of TWiLight Menu++ from the releases page.
2. Copy _nds/ folder to microSD root.
3. Copy _nds/ in Flashcard users to microSD root.
4. Copy boot_fc.nds in Flashcard users to microSD root.
5. Rename boot_fc.nds to boot.nds.

To autoboot to TWLMenu++

1. Extract what's in Flashcard users/Autoboot/(your flashcard) to the root of the flashcard's microSD card. (Skip this, if you don't see your flashcard.)
2. DS Phat/DS lite users: Go to settings in the DS menu, and turn on auto-start, so your flashcard will start on boot.

To run games using your flashcard firmware

1. Download a pack for your flashcard:
   Original R4/M3 Simply
   R4iDSN/R4 Ultra/R4i Gold RTS
   SuperCard DSTWO

2. Extract what's in for Slot-1 microSD to the root of the flashcard's microSD card.

3. After this and setting up TWiLight Menu++ on your flashcard, set Use nds-bootstrap (B4DS) to No, so the flashcard firmware will be used instead of nds-bootstrap.
