(optional) For a faster and easier way to toggle retopology overlays/custome retopology themes, snapping settings and more, this add-on can be used:
Download Key Ops: Toolkit

Once Key Ops: Toolkit is installed, the Retopology menu can be found in the N panel with the name "Toolkit" or just press the shortcut 5 to toggle the retopology overlays/settings in edit mode. Note that its recommend for auto-save prefrences to be disabled, since otherwise some theme settings can be savde by mistake.
