Data-Model

The data are not very complicated as the extension never provides data-queries in the original concept, but only lists the data-rows of one table, even without images or single-view. Nevertheless in the new version new data-connections are included to the user-tables fe_users and be_users for access-control as well as sys_categories for categorizing the quotes.

Remark

The amount of data stored and provided by the extension "t3quotes" is relative limited, also the classic version of the extension was programmed by Kasper Skårhøj but it seems that he never spent too much time on it and that the usage of the extension was quite limited too.
The current version still relies on the given data-fields and logic but includes already more options by the actions and views that are provided by the MVC-Framework consisting of extbase and fluid. The detail view for single records is new, also the form to enter quotes in the frontend.

There is no doubt that the goal to manage and show some quotes on a website can be achieved different with existing extensions, nevertheless the new version of this extension solves some things perhaps special or different and it might be a bit more straight forward to use it for reaching the goal.
