Record of Server Modifications

Listed in order of appearance in the commit log:

  • Added augments to starting Nation rings (match citizen race/city). See this page for details.
  • Chaosbringer kill counts for DRK job quest display in the chat log.
  • Subjobs cap at 2/3 instead of 1/2 of main job level
  • Long cooldowns on NMs repops were shortened: most repops longer than 20 hrs became 3-6hrs
    • This happened with an update to prevent exploitation of server restarts by placing all timed pop NMs on cooldown at server start. Additionally HQ land kings were made force spawn. The NQ kings drop the pop items.
  • An NPC was added to Mordion to greet players who are jailed via automated processes.
  • A tier 0 GM command !getls was added so that all players can give themselves a pearl to the global social linkshell.
  • An instant teleport bypass was added to get around the glitchy Port Bastok bridge.
  • Vertical agro range was adjusted to handle most instances of monsters passing through the floor or ceiling to sneak attack unsuspecting players.
  • Several anti lag measures, including automated tool packet spam prevention: as a result running certain 3rd party tools/addons/plugins may result in players being instant logged out and placed on a short cooldown before they can re-enter the game.
  • Exp chains build up a bonus multiplier to exp gain: longer chains equal bigger exp bonus, capping at double the already doubled exp! (4x exp rate!)
  • Deleveled monsters in Zeruhn Mines.
  • Made subjob quest auto clear, since we start with subjobs already unlocked.
  • A tier 0 GM command !help was added to print a list of commands to players and GMs. The command shows only what is available to the user.
  • Globally added 0.1 to all skillups.
  • cmbSkill and cmbDelay adjustments to fix mob multi attack and zero delay issues.
  • Increased spawn rate, and reduced cool down time of lottery spawns that use the new global wrapper (when cooldown is >= than 30 min). Mobs not yet using the wrapper are unaffected (these were already adjusted in a previous update). Will need to revise existing long repop lottery spawned NMs as they are converted.
  • Made guild slaves NPCs work 24/7/365. No more holidays or days off.
  • Made everyone start with a subjob, since new people were forgetting to set one.
  • Field/Worker gear set now alters both break rate and "found nothing" rate.
    • This update also adjusted the base rates for these two HELM events.
  • Added notices telling player when their chocobo skill gains points and when their digging rank increases. Exact skill level not shown.
