Following from issue #1189

There could be two categories for the Liver bird colouring/dressing competition:

  1. A static pattern of colours

  2. A 5 second single or repeating series of patterns.

To make it easy, we could make an online tool or inkscape images with boxes for each bit of the bird (traced up from a photo, where you could click and set the colour, and save it). This means people could do it remotely.

Set a date for entries to be submitted, appoint a panel of judges and award prizes for the best dressed liver bird.

Competition conditions are that we get to keep any patterns and use them however we like.

If we get lots of entries, we can divide them up into categories, such as Morning themes, Makernight themes, etc.

Just fit a red button and a blue button, for people to press as they walk by. Could also rig it so that a press on red fades back to blue after a couple of minutes, this would amuse Adrian.

Was going to close this, but maybe it would be nice if people wanted to post photos of what they can get the Liver Bird to do using WLED:

Download WLED app and connect to DoES Liverpool wifi. The Liverbird is 10.0.33.231. Post you pictures here...
