Hey, we've had to change our domain due to registration issues, can you update it to kitsu.app? 😅

That came somewhat unexpected. An earlier announcement would have been preferable for a smoother transition. Is there an official statement I can link to? Since it might look a bit suspicious when the domain suddenly changes without any information. |

Yeah, I don't own the Kitsu.io domain, Kitsu's "absentee father" (Josh) does, and he failed to renew and never replies to my messages so I just kinda frantically switched it to a domain I owned. I hope that we'll be able to get the old io domain sorted at some point but for now… yeah, it's a mess, I'm just trying to clean up the pieces 😅 You can point to https://kitsu.app/posts/9837041 or https://x.com/heykitsu/status/1822508467745436064 for our public statements, and verify I'm the genuine Kitsu dev via hummingbird-me/kitsu-server@244fdcc and hummingbird-me/kitsu-web@08f6a1f and #website-support on our discord |

Oh I see, that's unfortunate. Thanks for the clarification and the additional information. I will merge the PR and release a hot fix for the app soon. I really appreciate your hard work to keep Kitsu running. I hope you get the things sorted out and everything will be back to normal soon. |
