Units:

  • Fixed Parasite units attacking creep plant units. In fact it's vanilla behavior but it was really annoying hearing all those units shooting plants in larger maps.
  • Added custom Production Booster building. It increases unit production in all team colonies by 10%. Exclusive to only custom levels.
  • Added custom Firepower Booster building. It increases firepower of all team units by 10%. Exclusive to only custom levels.

  • Added random colony feature. You can place 'Random Colony' marker on any map and every time you load that specific map, a random colony building will be chosen.
  • There was an issue where closing OpenSA game wouldn't close it entirely. It was still running in the background. That issue should be resolved now.
  • Changed preview facing for actors in map editor (matches now vanilla map editor).
  • All decoration plants can now be placed on any tileset.
  • Added more detailed descriptions for decoration and creep plants for map editor.
  • Added videos. They were converted to Westwood VQA format.
  • Slightly updated custom Ant Holes artwork.
  • Added descriptions for custom missions.
  • Added missing scorpions AI for campaign. So that means scorpions can be used as 5th real faction in campaign.
  • Adjusted mini flags for Skimish lobby dropdown menu.

  • The volume of background ambient sound can be adjusted. No more on and off switch for it.
  • Removed obligatory Turret trait from Colony trait.
  • Simplified missions' yaml rules.
  • Scorpions double spear turret weapon is more quiet now.
  • Slighlty updated shroud sprites.

Units:
I made a re-run range test for all actors to make sure ranges are true to the vanilla experience. Here are results:

  • Ant Grenadier: 4 -> 6

  • Ant Bazooka: 8 -> 9

  • Beetle Ladybug: 4 -> 6

  • Beetle Cannon: 12 -> 14

  • Scorpion Spear: 16 -> 15

  • Spider Sniper: 12 -> 14

  • Spider Missile: 16 -> 18

  • Wasp Assault: 6 -> 10

  • Wasp Sonic: 6 -> 8

  • Ant Colony: 10 -> 12

  • Spider Colony: 12 -> 13

  • Beetle Colony: 10 -> 12

  • Wasp Colony: 10 -> 12

  • Wasp units can no longer be paralyzed by parasite units. This is a vanilla behavior.

  • Ant Grenadier's projectile speed was changed from 230 to 260.

  • Ant Grenadier and Ant Bazooka projectile spawn origin was adjusted.

  • Colonies won't autotarget other colonies by default.

  • Increased Choc Freckles range from 2,5 to 3.

Missions:

  • Added "En Garde" custom mission.
  • Adjusted "Usual Brawl" custom mission. Colonies and units were changed and rearranged. Basically the mission should be more fair now.
  • Adjusted "006) Expand and Destroy" mission by adding 5 additional Ant Soldiers.

Misc:

  • An user should be now notified in the menu whenever a new update has been released. Providing the user has this option turned on in options.
  • Additional Ant Hole variants have been made by user "MikillRosen (sayedmamdouh)". So now they will match every tileset.
  • Background ambient sound can be now muted in options.
  • Newly created maps in map editor will be correctly filled with randomly picked ground tiles.
  • Maps can be also filled with tiles 'Water', 'Rock' and 'Vegetation' which will be randomly picked as well (Use SHIFT + left mouse click to fill area with chosen tile).

Missions:

  • 081 Frozen mission - probablity chance of producing Parasite wasps was significantly reduced. Added additional Ninja scorpion to player's start army.
  • 083 The Gathering mission - slightly adjusted colony placement
  • 091 Red Juggernaut - added additional 2 wasp units to the player
  • 098 Apocalypse Now - added additional units to the player
  • 099 Super Colony - added additional units to the player
  • Added "Usual Brawl" custom mission

Misc:

  • There was a bug where colony bits' "lifetime" parameter was using world tickrate, that means the longer game was running, the longer life time was. It's fixed now.
  • Added trait "OwnerLostAction", so in Multiplayer game, if another player loses or surrenders, his/her army will be killed.
  • If a Flying Machine is above water tile, the pirate ant won't be spawn when the machine is destroyed.
  • AI uses now AttackWander trait instead of Wanders. That means that if AI unit wanders, it will use Attack Move while wandering around.
  • Replaced custom trait "Living" with official OpenRA one "TurnOnIdle".
  • Trait "ProvidesRadar" was moved to Player actor.
  • Decoration plants will be owned by Neutral by default.
  • Creep plants and pirates will be owned by Creeps by default.
  • When paralyzed, units won't rotate.
