Icon Request: fa-fediverse #16252
Comments
+1 on this. It would also be nice to have other Fediverse services as icons (Misskey, OwnCast, PeerTube, PixelFed, Pleroma, etc), but at the very least a Fediverse icon should be added to represent the rest of the Fediverse (which can help clear up the misconception that the Fediverse is only Mastodon, which it isn't.) |
Wanted to ➕ this as instability at Twitter is making Fediverse/Mastodon a more common link-out destination for people's social media link sections. I use Font-Awesome icons for my others and would be happy to seamlessly include this one. |

A Mastodon icon was added some time ago - details in #10897 |
this is true, but Fediverse =/= Mastodon. I think the OP was suggesting adding an icon for a generic Fediverse link |
With the increasing importance of ActivityPub, it would be nice to have a dedicated icon for the Fediverse/ActivityPub. |
Also to clarify, there's more than just ActivityPub on the Fediverse 😌 |
I would love to bump this request, especially because I think its important to understand that Mastodon is not the only software that runs the Fediverse and that even the Fediverse has it's own "icon". I wish I knew my way around with SVGs or else I would've actually made SVGs and submit them. |
Any progress on it? |

At all, there is ActivityPub too: Please vote too. |
it would be really nice to have this, as Fediverse is Mastodon + Threads + dozens of other softwares running on a global network. |
I would use it. |
+1 Yes please. |
Fediverse represents the social network applications that use ActivityPub protocol (such as Mastodon) that allows to communicate between them.
The icon would be use to refer to an account from a social application compatible with that protocol.
