App unavailable on MacBook

On opening the app, a dialog ask me to select a file(probably a .edp file). But when I select, the app QUIT without showing anything, I don't even see a single panel of the app.

Yes, I have try the apply there wrong, sorry I try to correct rapidly. But to launch freefem++ on mac, use the terminal application go in a directory contenting a FreeFem++ script for example do cd /usr/local/ff++/share/FreeFEM/4.6/examples/tutorial/ FreeFem++ a_tutorial.edp Best Regards, Frédéric Hecht.
