About G2P Connect

Over the past few years, we have seen promising advancements across technology and policy that, brought together, have the potential to meet the need for G2P payments to adopt a whole of government approach keeping recipients at the centre Open source communities worldwide are developing appropriate software that constitute core pieces of the G2P payments infrastructure.

NOTE: In this context, the G2P stack refers to the set of digital platforms working together to enable Governments to send money via mobile money or bank accounts or as non-transferable vouchers to individuals. For the scope of this project, the G2P payments use case of focus will be limited to cash or near-cash social assistance payments. This stack does not address other types of benefits such as health insurance, delivering physical goods, food, etc. However, its components and design can be adapted to also serve other G2P payment use cases such as public wages, subsidy payments, etc.

There are many point solutions, especially within the Digital Public Goods (DPG) space that can be used to combine and provide an integrated G2P stack.

G2P Connect is an open source effort to support the digital delivery of government-to-person (G2P) payments.

It Offers:

  1. A technology architecture blueprint with a plug-and-play architecture (allowing for choice of components) with built in privacy & security
  2. A set of integration specifications to ensure interoperability across the systems supporting G2P delivery
  3. An integration sandbox to support the development of solutions adhering to the blueprint and specifications

All of you are most welcome to join the effort, read documentation, collaborate, leverage, and contribute!
