To me it seems the ailerons have very little authority, though that's subjective, do you know whether it's a bug or a feature?

Depends on following:
"Roll control had stiffened at the 200kt normal climb speed, but a 30° bank could still be reversed in a rapid 4s." (Flight International Vol 8, S. 65, 1995)
"[...]the controls were inevitably stiffer at M0.60, and a roll to 60° took 5s to complete" (Flight International Vol 8, S. 66, 1995)

Under "reversed" I understand 30° to 0°. But I must admit I'm not sure if my translation is right and "reversed" means 30° to -30° here.
What I didn't add yet, is the roll spoiler logic, but roll perfomance matched the numbers above when I tested it some time ago.
