gdoc says 'Chris', and I'm fine with this. Alternatively an 'organisation' cert might make sense. We can indeed revisit this later.

Sadly there is no such thing as an Org cert, you have to set up a legal entity (i.e. a company) and get a DUNS listing. I have now obtained a single-dev cert to use for signing.
