Terms Used

For reference, this is a list of the terms used on the website and on this wiki as well as their meaning.

Personal Duck Address

This is your permanent duck address that you created when you signed up. For example you might have chosen "john@duck.com".

Private Duck Address

This is a unique duck.com address that is automatically generated for you, it has a random string of characters. You can generate unlimited of them and they can be deactivated at any time. For example "abcd123@duck.com".

Personal Email

This is whatever your real email address is that is assigned to your account (the email address that emails sent to your duck addresses are forwarded to) for example "john@gmail.com".

Special Address

When you use this website the special created address is the long complicated address that is generated when you click the "Create Address" button. For example "tim_at_example.com_john@duck.com"
