It's roleplay. If certain surgeries can be performed without anaesthetic, On 15 January 2016 at 22:32, Puckaboo2 notifications@github.com wrote:

I don't think eye repair is theoretically possible without anaesthetic, due to muscle reflex and such, since we don't have torture tools at hand to force open the eyelid... limb prep deals with open nerves which, while already unimaginably painful, should probably send the pain messages just like any scalpel-using surgery. Not sure if the human body experiences pain when the eye is worked on; I think the nerve endings stop at the retina. This topic disturbs me to discuss, leaving now |
It just concerns me that you're opening apart the insides of the eyes, lifting up shit, snip, glue, mend, and the patient cannot feel a damn thing. |
I have had eye surgery, they give you anesthetic and numb your eye so your muscles don't move. You feel a little bit of pressure, like a gentle pressing but that's about it. |
oh my god the body horror is real and I don't even know if we should do anything about it |
eye surgery does not include pain. But its fucking terrifying. In most modern eye surgeries, the patient is concous, with eyelid clamps. Nerve repair surgeries should definitely require anaesthetics. Like dude. Thats gunna fuckin' hurt and there's really no reason you need to be awake for it. |
Wondering if this is intentional or not.
