Select Techniques

During this Sub-Process the information collected previously is analyzed to help the selection of strategies and techniques for feature retrieval. This sub-process is detailed here. To help this selection, we created a feature model of Feature Retrieval Techniques and a set of Guidelines.

Assemble Techniques

The techniques chosen are assembled inside our generic process. The assembled process will be customized according to the scenario where our process has been applied, giving our process flexibility to be applied in different situations. The user may choose to add and modify the activities in the generic process. The activities added to the generic process may be used for different phases of the retrieval process (extract, categorize and group) depending on the user scenario. For each activity added to the generic process, the user may choose to assemble one or more retrieval technique from our guidelines into it.

Assign Tasks

Each member of the team will receive a task to perform during the process execution. One member can perform more than one task and a task can be performed by multiple members.

Assemble Scoping Process

During this activity, the scoping process is assembled based on the generic scoping process. For assembling the process, the SPL scoping concepts must be selected, and assemble in their respective scoping types. Scoping supporting concepts may be assembled in any scoping type.
