Product Scoping

lucianoMarchezan edited this page Jan 11, 2020 · 2 revisions

Define the product portfolio based on customer needs is crucial to deliver high quality software (Balbino et al. 2011). The Product scoping phase is aims at achieving this goal.

Candidate Analysis

Analyze the possible products-to-be is important to determine if they are viable and if they will satisfy customer and company needs. These candidates are part of the product roadmap, and may share their architecture with others.

Feature Definition

Define the features that will or not be part of each product is mandatory for defining a product portfolio. At some point of the development, this decision must be made in order to progress. Similar to the candidates, the features also should be part of the product roadmap whereas Asset and Product scoping are directly related.
