For building challenge tactics, it would be extremely useful to have a special page where one can select two teams (opponent and reporter) and see, what tasks are available for the challenge, and what tasks have been already reported/opposed/reviewed by each of the two teams before.

Firstly, it would be useful for the fight chairmen; moreover, some teams are "building the tactics" before every fight. It means, that the team calculates, which problems can it challenge each of its adversaries to. Now his part of tactics is usually calculated by hand, i.e. by looking through all pages for all fights, but... our tournament is about Physics, not about carefully striking off the numbers on a sheet of paper?

The tool already exists for the chairmens - when they create a new round from the admin panel and fill up the role with team names, the corresponding webpage shows which problem are not allowed.

I haven't made it public for teams in the past for various reasons. The main one was that giving access to such tools to all the teams would have made its use becoming a common thing, whereas currently only the teams aiming for the podium are really doing these calculations. In short, doing the tedious thing is gives you an advantage over the other teams that were not doing it. If anyone can do it, then the advantage disappear.

That being said, I'm not in the IPT decision panel anymore, so if such a tool is created I would happily add it to ipt_connect.

I don't really have a strong opinion on this, but if i have to pick one i would go for implementing this panel.
I love when teams plan in advance their tactics, and this feature would underline the importance of strategy in the Tournament.

This would be really helpful for not just teams but chairmen and jury as well.
Certainly put this among the upper things to implement.

This one seems like the nicest enhancement idea of the ones there.
Have you guys made any breakthrough on implementing?

The tool has been working fantastically this edition.
I did get a couple error 403s however when trying to use it during the tournament.
If it helps, I was logged in as my standard chair user account.

Absolutely agree, great useful tool, that should be easily accessible for all participants next year.

only one suggestion: to change strings "tried by opponent" and "tried by reporter" to "has been asked by opponent" and "has been asked by reporter".

@lysenko-nikolay,

that should be easily accessible for all participants next year

@mhrz,

How to access it?

Now (and during the whole IPT2019) we have the link to the tool at ipt_connect main page. What can be easier?

I think the main page is good enough, as people from outside, not necessarily the teams may want to have a play with it, so it should be on the easiest access point.

Did you ever find the issue of error 403?

Once you are happy this tool has been completed, feel free to mission accomplished this issue!

Have there been any reports of issues and mistakes of the tool from the IPT2019?

Let's leave the link to the this fantastic tool on the main page, but make it in bold, because now it can be barely seen.
Also i would like to have the same link on the https://connect.iptnet.info/IPT2***/physics_fights/ page on top, in headline text.
