There's not enough information here to diagnose a problem, but it sounds like a broken operating system and not anything specific to this app. Do other screen recorders work?

seems to be a problem with my phone (I read that reboot should help): https://www.google.com.ua/search?q=redmi+4+stop+failed+1007+mediarecorder

but still https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duapps.recorder&hl=en works all the time (doesn't require rebooting)
mb they don't use mediarecorder?

I am also facing a similar issue with Telecine on my Lenovo K6 Power running android 6.0.1.
