Looking for a Maintainer

MkDoxy is a MkDocs plugin that turns Doxygen output into API documentation. I created it and maintained it for a long time, but I no longer use it myself, and I don't have the capacity to keep up with issues, pull requests and releases.

The project still has users and a healthy backlog, and I'd rather see it carried on than slowly fade away. So I'm looking for someone from the community who would like to help look after it.

What it would involve

• Triaging issues and reviewing pull requests (currently around 24 open issues and 13 open PRs)
• Keeping up with changes in the MkDocs ecosystem (MkDocs 2.0, ProperDocs, Zensical and others)
• Releasing new versions to PyPI
• Improving the automated tests and CI. The current coverage is small, so this is a great place to start and to build trust

What I'm looking for

• Some experience with Python and open source, ideally previous contributions to MkDoxy or similar projects
• Familiarity with MkDocs and Doxygen
• Care for users, stability and security. MkDoxy is installed in many projects, so releases need to be handled carefully

How it will work

I'd like to start gradually: first with a few contributions and reviews, then taking over more responsibilities as we get to know each other. I'll stay around as a safety net, especially in the beginning. Releases will go through a reviewed, automated process.
