We’re excited to kick off the Keycode Help project, and we want to share a clear overview of roles and responsibilities for our collaboration. By defining each role, we can streamline our workflow, stay on track, and build a cohesive product together. Below is an outline of key roles, responsibilities, and our approach to working together.

📝 Roles and Responsibilities

Project Manager

• Role: Oversees timelines and keeps all teams aligned.
• Key Tasks:
  • Manage task assignments and milestones in GitHub Projects.
  • Coordinate communication between teams and address any blockers.
  • Track progress on project phases (MVP, Beta, Production) and keep everything on schedule.

Product Designer / UX Designer

• Role: Shapes the user experience and creates high-fidelity prototypes in Figma.
• Key Tasks:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define user experience.
  • Create and hand off components to developers using the Frontier Anima Plugin.
  • Prioritize mobile-first designs, usability, and accessibility.

Frontend Developer

• Role: Converts Figma designs into interactive, responsive code using Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
• Key Tasks:
  • Integrate Figma components from Frontier Anima, ensuring consistency in code.
  • Implement client-side features like forms, dashboards, and notifications.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to link frontend to APIs and data.

Backend Developer

• Role: Builds the server-side functionality using Spring Boot and sets up the database.
• Key Tasks:
  • Create and manage APIs for all key features (e.g., VIN lookup, invoice management).
  • Set up data storage with PostgreSQL and real-time data with Firebase.
  • Ensure secure access control and data handling with Firebase Authentication.

Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

• Role: Tests functionality and ensures the product meets quality standards.
• Key Tasks:
  • Test each component and feature, and document bugs in GitHub Issues.
  • Set up automated testing for essential features like payments and VIN lookup.
  • Test for responsive design and compatibility across devices and browsers.

DevOps Engineer

• Role: Manages deployment and scalability of the app on Google Cloud Platform.
• Key Tasks:
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for automated testing and deployment.
  • Deploy the app on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Firebase Hosting.
  • Monitor system performance, manage security patches, and ensure high uptime.

Customer Success Manager (CSM)

• Role: Gathers user feedback and helps improve user satisfaction.
• Key Tasks:
  • Support user onboarding and account setup, and handle inquiries.
  • Collect user feedback and relay insights to the development team.
  • Assist with live chat and helpdesk services to maintain a positive user experience.
