tNETacle ======== Introduction ------------ tNETacle is an easy to use Virtual Private Network (VPN) daemon built with efficiency and security in mind. Directories ----------- 1. 'dat', contains a variety of data files. 2. 'doc', contains a few documentation. 3. 'include', contains all *.h files. 4. 'src', contains *.c files used by all versions. 5. 'util', contains files for utility programs, such as scripts. 6. 'sub', contains subdirectories for our libraries. 7. 'sys', contains subdirectories for OSs specific files. 8. 'sys/share', contains files shared by some OSs. 9. 'sys/unix', contains UNIX family (*BSD, Linux and Mac OS X) specific files. 10. 'sys/wnt', contains Windows NT specific files. 11. 'client', contains subdirectories for our clients. 12. 'client/share', contains files shared by some clients. 13. 'client/qt', contains files for our Qt client. 14. 'client/tty', contains files for our curses client. 15. 'client/cli', contains files for our basic command line interface. Requirements ------------ Add the tNETacle default user (_tnetacle) with '/var/empty' as home, owned by root with permission 700, or the tNETacle will refuse to start. Install OpenSSL, Libevent-2.0.x (both _core and _openssl) and Yajl 2.x. If you are under Linux you might install libbsd too, but it's not mandatory. Depending of your system you should now install either tapcfg or libtuntap. libtuntap is prefered but not available on FreeBSD, Windows and Mac OS X. Install CMake, then run something like mkdir build && cd build && cmake .. && make If something is wrong at this stage, drop us an email. Now you can edit dat/tNETacle.conf for your need and copy it to /etc/tNETacle.conf. If this directory is not the one you want, change it in /include/pathnames.h. Supported Systems ----------------- * Linux (tested on Debian, Ubuntu and Gentoo) * OpenBSD * NetBSD * Mac OS X * Windows NT (tested on Windows 7) Licence ------- * The tNETacle source code is distributed under the ISC license; * The OpenSSL library is distributed under its own license, check here for more details: <http://www.openssl.org/source/license.html>; * The libevent library is distributed under the 3-clause BSD license; * The libyajl is distributed under the ISC license; * The libbsd library is distrbitued under BSD and MIT license, check here for more details: <http://libbsd.freedesktop.org/wiki/#License>; * The tapcfg library is distributed under the LGPL license, check here for more details: <http://code.google.com/p/tapcfg/>; * The libtuntap library is distributed under the ISC license;
