Requirements

  • Is this a feature request? For questions or discussions use https://lemmy.ml/c/lemmy_support
  • Did you check to see if this issue already exists?
  • Is this only a feature request? Do not put multiple feature requests in one issue.
  • Is this a server side (not related to the UI) issue? Use the Lemmy back end repo.

Is your proposal related to a problem?

Despite there currently being a default post sorting option on the user page, there is no default comment sorting option.

Describe the solution you'd like.

A setting on the user page for default comment sorting would be extremely useful, that way comment sorting doesn't have to be set manually for every post.

Describe alternatives you've considered.

The only alternative currently possible is manually selecting comment sorting for every post you go on.

Reddit webapp and memmy for Lemmy offer this. I hope we can do it on the web browser

I tend to prefer Top over Hot for the comments sort. It would be great if this was Settings page, right below the default main page sort.
