It occurs to me, that it would be handy for large units to have a single button in the med bay that auto assigns all patients to doctors as long as there is space.

It would be extra awesome if this button assigned the most injured to the highest rated doctor, but not essential. It would also be hand if it generated a popup that asked the player if they wish to assign prisoners as well.
