Can Model Catalog models be deployed to custom Vnet?

Hi team,
Doc mentions it's recommened to deploy model catalog models to managed vnet. Is it our limitation to deploy such models only to managed vnet? If it's limitation, please kindly add it in our doc. If we have ways to deploy catalog models to custom vnet, please add how to do that. Thanks!
