allow two palettes to be added together

c1 + c2 = p1
p1 + c1 = p2
c1 + p1 = p3
p1 + p2 = p4
when adding palettes, if the end colour of one is the start colour of the next, only include the colour once

I decided that adding two colours should instead result in a third colour.
