This repo reproduces the issue mentioned here using mapbox-gl version 0.49.0.
I observed the same behaviour on version 50 beta.
Start the example:
Insert a valid mabox-gl access token in src/index.js
npm run start
Then with a mobile device access your localhost:12345.
