Functions and subrouties in the libraf library.

The raf library is written in C. It requires netCDF libraries be installed.
The utilities build and run on any Unix/Linux operating system, including Mac OS X.
To install these programs on your computer, ensure the following libraries are installed:
- netcdf-cxx-devel (will pull in netcdf-cxx, netcdf-devel, and netcdf)
This code also depends on the eol_scons repo. Ways to handle this are discussed under the installation section below.
libraf can either be installed locally, or can be installed in a common area (such as /opt/local in a linux system).
To install locally, you will need to download two repositories into a single parent directory. From within this parent dir:
- git clone https://github.com/ncar/eol_scons site_scons
- git clone https://github.com/ncar/libraf
- cd libraf
- scons install <- install libraf.a under libraf/lib and include under libraf/include/raf.
To install in a common area, you first need to install eol_scons (under a dir called site_scons) in either /usr/share/scons or $HOME/.scons. Change to one of the above two dirs and run:
- git clone https://github.com/ncar/eol_scons site_scons
Then change to a working area of your choice and run:
- git clone https://github.com/ncar/libraf
- cd libraf
- scons install --prefix=<path_to_install_dir> <- installs under <path_to_install_dir>/lib and <path_to_install_dir>/include/raf.
This library may be used by placing a "-lraf" in your compile statement.
